Artist's Comments

A collar made of 20awg 1/8" titanium rings in the Interwoven 4-1 weave. There's a strip of GSG at the top to snug it up. Closes in the back with 3 lobster clasps.

Tutorials for these weaves are on my site: [link]

Okay, that is just damn spiffy. I can't think of anything higher than that right now. It's... really... damn spiffy.

There's a fine line between art and crap. That line lies within the viewer. The artist tries for art, but if all he achieves is crap, then he needs to try again.

Wow, what a beauty. She makes that choker look amazing.
Does chainmail that snug have to be custom made for the wearer?
:iconmaillerphong:
Normally yes, but in this case I used rubber rings in the back. The lobster clasps hook to a o=o=o=o chain, where the = is a pair of rubber rings. This lets the piece be adjustable and snug without being uncomfortable.

Woah, optical illusion alert! I did not expect that.

Very beautiful piece. So many rings...

Freaking awesome

Elegance in simplicity, is there nothing as beautiful as this?
:iconmaillerphong:
Yeah, if you get too close to it, it starts doing that magic eye thing. :D

Hmmm. I've always been pretty unhappy with the edges of European chainmail. May have to try that GSG trick, though there's a lot of weaves I haven't gotten around to or haven't found any descent tutorials. Will have to check out yours when I've got the time to do some stuff.

GSG is a good edging for I4-1. HP3-1 works really well to edge E4-1, I have a couple tutorials for that. :)
